Position: SALES REPRESENTATIVE
Location: MIDWEST Florida Territory (Sarasota/Tampa FL)
Duties:
GENERAL SUMMARY: Achieves maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within an assigned territory and/or market segment by effectively selling the company's products and/or related services.
Personally contacts and secures new business accounts/customers.
CORE FUNCTIONS:
• Promotes/sells/secures orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based
approach.
• Demonstrates products and services to existing/potential customers and assists them in selecting those best suited to their needs.
• Manages relationship with distributors in the region
DETAILS OF FUNCTION:
• Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective
customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the organization's
products/services.
• Makes telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers.
• Researches sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential.
• Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.
• Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
• Coordinates sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and technical service
groups.
• Analyzes the territory/market's potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customers value to the organization.
• Creates and manages a customer value plan for existing customers highlighting profile, share and value opportunities.
• Identifies advantages and compares organization's products/services.
• Plans and organizes personal sales strategy by maximizing the Return on Time Investment for the
territory/segment.
• Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
• Keeps abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities,
advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas.
• Participates in trade shows and conventions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ideal candidate will possess 2 years' experience in Building Industry.
Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach). Must have good organizational skills, be self motivated and be a good negotiator. Must be result-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and contact management software. Valid driver's license.
GENERAL LEDGER ACCOUNTANT JOB DESCRIPTION
General Summary: Prepare journal entries, reconcile financial statements and accounts, and ensure data accuracy. This position works with management in other departments including IT, sales operations, engineering, and legal. This position involves analyzing and ensuring accuracy of data and financial information.
CORE FUNCTIONS:
• Ensure accuracy of data
• Analyze financial information to ensure inputs from other departments are accurate
• Support monthly and annual close processes
DETAILS OF FUNCTION:
• Conduct reviews of accounts for accuracy
• Analyze financial information to ensure all policies and procedures are being adhere to
• Record journal entries at month end and annually
• Reconcile accounts per policies
• Prepare journal entries with supporting documentation
• Prepare monthly management accounts including accrual and prepayment journals
• Generating monthly slow and obsolete products (SLOBS) report for distribution to the management team
• Prepares payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
• Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
• Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.
• To understand and adhere to Company policies and procedures which are relevant to both the site and the working environment
• Conducting research, analysis and support in respect of special ad hoc projects for Controller as required
REPORTING:
• Reports directly to the Controller - US Operations
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in tax, accounting, of finance
Ideal candidate will possess 2 years' experience in Accounting / Finance Role, experience can substituted for education requirement.
Must demonstrate aptitude for problem-solving and be detail oriented
Must have good organizational skills and be self-motivated.
Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications.
Must have some accounting software experience, Syteline experience a plus
